My Bio
Bart is a self described DOOOM and sometimes manga artist who loves drawing happy things, but they never turn out that way. Things always seem so dark, so very dark. Perhaps its because he always uses black biro to draw with. We've tried to give him other colours, be they paint or pencil, or even other coloured biros, but there is always doom and darkness.

He's been drawing for as long as he can remember, and reliable sources inform him that he's been drawing for even longer than that. Having done incredibly well when studying the finer arts at School and College (with a side-line in comic book doodling, though he does enjoy the finer arts in life), he inconceivably decided to study film at University, having felt that there was no money to be made in art. Oh how wrong he was, and he's hoping to rectify this grave error by placing his work right here, for you to view and hopefully love. (The irony being that whilst he was on his road to almost nowhere at University he was introduced to manga and the works of Jhonen Vasquez)

When Bart is drawing he's normally watching something funny, weird or scary (or all three), or listening to something funny, weird or scary (or all three). Come to think of it, when Bart isn't drawing he's also listening to or watching things that are funny, wierd or scary (or all three), only this time he's either writing, some of examples of which find their way into his artwork, making films with his twin brother, or telling his long suffering wife how terrible his day was.

Please, make her life better; either by enjoying my art (which makes me happy) or letting me rant to you by following me on Twitter (twitter.com/clockworkbart) or all three (wait, that's not right............)

I'm unconvinced at the success of the 'Anatomy of an Angel' series thus far, and that's not to say I'm not happy with the way the images have turned out. I simply feel that perhaps not enough people have seen them. The problem with tackling extreme subject matter, with the intention of then displaying it on this website, is that you have to declair it as having slightly dubious content, thus denying your deviation that eyecatching thumbnail that would lure in unsuspecting members of the public. I think in future, each dubious deviation will have to be accompanied by a more colourful, family friendly effort, thus ensuring maximum exposure. I s

I didn't like Avatar. Sure it looked great, both in respects to the special effects and the fact it was the sort of film that 3-D was waiting for in order to justify itself, but the story, well don't get me started on the story. Lets just say that James Cameron is probably the only man in history to look at The Whale Rider and think 'man, that needs some guns'. The reason why I mention this trifle of a film, is because the final piece of the puzzle that is my deviancy was my Avatar. All sorted now, but it almost drove me round the bend getting the sizes right. Thanks to all those who've left comments, added my images to their favourites or d
